Sara from Italy.

Sara arrived for a week just as I was struck down with a chest infection and unable to do anything!  She was brilliant and took over everything outside.  Learning to deal with the horse, feed the chickens, take the dogs for walks, clean the tunnel and clear huge amounts of brambles!  It was a very quiet week for her and so time for reflection.  I think maybe she will be back and this time I will be one hundred percent!  Taralli are like crunchy biscuits suitable with soup or something to have with drinks.  you can mix in paprika or garlic etc.,

Taralli

125 gr of olive oil

pepper

200ml of white wine

500grms of flour

salt

poppy seeds or something else

2. knead for about 20 mins.

3. wait for 30 mins and leave in a cold place to prove

4.  shape the taralli into thin shapes and then curve into horseshoe shape.

5. put each into a saucepan of boiling water and let them enlarge before taking out and put in an oven for 20 to 30 mins at 200 degrees.
